Teeth Whitening Treatments

Everybody loves a bright white smile, and there are a variety of products and procedures available to help you improve the look of yours. Whiteners may not correct all types of discoloration. Whitening may not enhance your smile if you have had bonding or tooth-coloured fillings placed in your front teeth. The whitener will not affect the colour of these materials, and they will stand out in your newly whitened smile. In these cases, you may want to investigate other options, like porcelain veneers or bonding.

Transform Your Smile

It is also possible to use a whitening treatment at home. On visiting us, we will take impressions of your teeth and custom make a tray for your whitening solution. Once this has been fitted, we will give you the whitening treatment to take home. You will be told how often to use the product and for how long and also the results you can expect.

Some people experience their teeth becoming sensitive during the period when you are using the whitening solution. In many cases, this sensitivity is temporary and should lessen once the treatment is finished. Some people also experience soft tissue irritation—either from a tray that doesn’t fit properly or from solution that may come in contact with the tissues. If you have concerns about such side effects, please talk to us about it and we will answer any questions you have.

If you haven’t had your teeth whitened, book an appointment today or contact us for any questions you may have.
